Low to High

Went and ran 6.2 training run at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, 5/6/06 and got one of my worst 10k times in the past few weeks : 56:32. I think it might have been a combination of running in the morning ( I usually run at 6pm) and the margaritas and beer I had for Cinco de Mayo the previous night. Kinda set me back a bit, but I knew that running after making your body process alcohol wasn't a good thing.

So I went back on Tuesday, 5/9/06 and ran the 6.2 miles in 51:07, average pace 8:15; low 7:49, high 8:45. My fastest 10k to date. I did eat a Snickers Marathon bar two hour prior to the run, maybe that had something to do with being able to keep my pace up for so long. I usually just drink water or maybe a Gatorade 30 to 40 minutes prior to my runs.

Next run : Thursday 6 miles.
